On a rainy day like today ...

After the sunshine yesterday drew me out into the garden to make the most of the last of those summer days, the rain today has made me just as happy to be back inside working on my latest flower painting. You might have guessed that I like flowers, because I paint them, but you wouldn't probably know that I spend a lot of time photographing them too. Out of several zillion photos only one often gives me the inspiration to paint! So time spent in the garden is just as productive to me as an artist as it is to keeping a tidy garden! I'll post a sneak preview of the latest painting when I'm far enough into it to have something I'm happy to show.
